Great Sense of Optimism and Gratitude as Legacy Village of Jacksonville Completes Round 2 of COVID-19 Vaccinations of Seniors, Team Members

Following the administration of the first round of vaccinations in mid-January, all residents and team members have been offered two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (February 19, 2021) - Legacy Village of Jacksonville, a premier senior living and memory care community in Jacksonville, Alabama, has reached a major milestone in its efforts to protect its residents and team members from the COVID-19 virus after completing its second round of vaccinations earlier this month.

The senior living community began its vaccination campaign in January after significant planning to ensure it could secure sufficient quantities of the vaccine for all residents and team members who wished to participate.

The completion of the senior living community’s vaccination campaign marks a step forward on its continued journey toward optimal health and wellness for its family of residents, who have displayed considerable mental and physical fortitude throughout the pandemic.

“We are feeling immensely thankful now that our Legacy Senior Living family is fully vaccinated, and we’re optimistic that we are one step closer to defeating this silent enemy. We’re excited to continue forward on our journey toward optimal health and wellness for everyone who calls Legacy Village home,” said Nicole Smith, Executive Director at Legacy Village of Jacksonville.

In accordance with its mission to serve the Greatest Generation with honor, respect, faith and integrity, the senior living community will continue its efforts to provide an environment that enriches the physical, social, and spiritual health of its residents, providing activities ranging from Bible studies, to movie nights, to opportunities for exercise and movement.

“The pandemic may have changed our strategy, but we’ve remained focused on our residents’ physical and mental health throughout it all. With two doses of the vaccine under our belts, we can continue forward on that mission of health and wellness -- and for that we’re extremely grateful,” said Smith.

Legacy Village of Jacksonville will continue to follow all COVID-19 safety guidelines set forth by the CDC, continuing to wear KN95 masks, social distancing, and regular wellness checks for all residents and team members.
